Across Europe, sectoral bargaining has been an essential component of building robust and durable worker power over the last century. Only recently, though, have state governments in the U.S. started to reimagine the way in which we could institute worker standards boards here to improve wages and benefits across entire sectors, while also creating state-backed on ramps for labor organizing.
